Ms. Smith has over 10 years of consulting experience in marketing, public relations, social media, and other related communications disciplines. Ms. Brodell has provided project management and leadership for multiple project teams, and has demonstrated extensive experience completing strategic communications projects for the Intelligence Community within the Department of Defense and the General Services Administration (GSA). She has assisted a range of organizations, including the Defense Security Services (DSS), the Defense POW MIA Accounting Agency (DPAA) and the Intelligence Systems Support Office (ISSO). Ms. Brodell specializes in aligning stakeholders around a shared perspective through facilitations and the creation of graphic system models. With a proven track record for operational improvements, Julie’s work in marketing, strategic planning, logistics, business process re-engineering, organizational transformation, and change management has consistently resulted in increased performance and strategic alignment of diverse stakeholders. Julie has also developed her proprietary methodology in customer service to support clients to increase trust and improve their operational effectiveness.
Julie currently serves as Director of Consulting for Rockwood Company, in Washington D.C. and she has an active TS-SCI security clearance. Julie holds an MBA with a concentration in marketing and communications, and is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR). Julie is a guest lecturer in organizational development and business strategy and operations for the University of Maryland, National Defense University, and American University.
Julie lives in Arlington, VA with her husband Derek and their two daughters.
